Each stud is a changed memory, and they help Britney remember that Christina is not who she used to be. She is made up of metal and ink now, like Britney is made up of silicone and bleach. Metal and ink add, but bleach just takes the color away, and silicone deforms.

They will not be mistaken for each other anymore. They will not be compared. They will not even be contrasted. They are seperate animals now, grown up girls still trying to play at childhood games, at "You're my best friend," at "I love you forever," at "There will never be anyone else."
